Bins and recycling
Ensure that your bins are out on the street ready for collection the night before, as the bin men often come very early (by 7:00 am).
Collect your bin in the evening after it's been emptied. Please don't leave it on the street.
If you know you are going to be away, ask a neighbour to put out your bin and collect it.
Be neighbourly. When you're putting out your own bin, look out for bins which neighbours might have forgotten to put out and take them to the street as well.
If a neighbour repeatedly forgets to take out their bin, gently remind them that their bin doesn't have legs and needs to be taken out to the street each week.
Recycling is on a fortnightly cycle rather than a weekly cycle. Again, look out for recycling bins that neighbours have forgotten to put out. Knock and tell them when the next recycling day is.
